Maybelline Lip Gradation by ColorSensational Review (All Shades!)

by - August 20, 2017

I know I'm kind of a little bit late to the game, I've seen lots of my friends posted about this product from Maybelline called Lip Gradation by ColorSensational, and I just tried it very recently. I was so excited when I tried it since I wear ombre lips daily, but damn girl!! It exceeded my expectations! I can just go on and on talking about how SMOOTH these babies are, so velvety smooth. Now, only from this first paragraph, you've known how much I love it, so just carry on reading until the end, grab as many as Lip Gradation you can find at the nearest store, and you'll thank me later...

There are 8 shades from Lip Gradation line, and thankfully they don't look similar to each other (which happens to lots of lip products in the market), ranging from nude, pink, orange-coral, to red which is very wearable for day and night.

I happen to be a big believer of ombre lips as I gravitate towards Korean make up more than western. As I grew older, I tried to put less and less makeup, especially on daily basis. Couple years ago, lip tint was such a big hit to create ombre lips. Yes, it's long wearing, but the problem I found with lip tint is it's making my lips dry and chapped, which is obviously not the look I'm looking for.

Lip Gradation somewhat reminds me of marker or highlighter, it's dual ended with a sponge applicator to smudge your lipstick, making ombre lips much easier to do! Before this, I usually blend my lipstick with my finger, which is rather troublesome because the lipstick transfers to my finger, what's worse is using lip tint, which resulted in stained fingers.

SWATCHES:
I almost screamed the moment I swatched the lipsticks on to my hand, the smoothness that I've never felt in a lipstick before, and the opacity of every color. I already knew they're amazing even before I used them on my lips, that's just how good they are! No kidding!

This product is also really easy to use, all you have to do is apply the lipstick in the center part of your lips, then smudge the outer line with the applicator provided. You can redo it all over again until you've reached the opacity that you like.

Not only that, you can actually use it to your full lips, and because the lipstick is pointy, I won't even need lip liner for precise application.

Here are my favorite shades out of 8: Mauve 1, Pink 1, Orange 1, and Red 1. In my opinion, Mauve is a must have color, because not only you can use it on its own, but sometimes I also like to mix some colors together to create ombre lips and most of the time I use Mauve to line the outer part of my lips. The price is quite affordable too (only IDR 109,000) so you can buy lots of different colors to play with!

Maybelline Lip Gradation is currently my favorite lipsticks that I use every single day. I rarely rave products this much, but I totally swear by it, so make sure to check them out! :)
