Beauty Appetite by Jessica Simon

I received a package from StrawberryNET last week, I've been using and loving it since the first time I tried it! It's Fusion Beauty Ultraflesh Shine Box Highlight & Shimmer Collection, so its basically highlighter and shimmer in a box, which is amazing because I never had any highlight & shimmer palette before.

If you never heard of StrawberryNET, I really recommend you to check out the website!
It is the perfect website for any beauty lover like you and me, because it is the world's LARGEST online retailer of skincare, makeup, haircare, perfume and cologne for men and women with over 30,000 products from 600+ leading brands. They offer FREE shipping on all orders to all over the world, and they always give discount, wait for it... up to 60% OFF!!! How crazy is that?!

So girls, we don't have to worry about the shipping fee that is usually more expensive than the products we buy (which is always be our online shopping main problem). The product will be arrived within 10-14 business days, and I assure you, the package will arrive safely, just like mine! My package was arrived with a box full of styrofoam in a perfect shape without a scratch!

So here what the box looks like from the side. It has 3 stacks below the cover. And you open the box by sliding it, not flipping it. Very fancy, eh? It makes it so travel-friendly, because the packaging is really sturdy and it cannot be opened easily by accident. (Every stack can be rotated 360 degrees)

This is how it looks if you open the box, there are 5 products in the box: (from the top)
One All Over Enhancer
Two All Over Highlighters
Two All Over Shimmers

Product details (click here)

 All Over Enhancer
Powder enhancer that can be used everywhere! And even though it is powder, it is not dusty at all! The color is a combination between bronze and peach, you can use it to highlight your cheekbones, inner corner of your eyes, under the brow bones or just apply it all over your eyelids as eyeshadow. The color is so pigmented, and it can be applied by clean fingers or makeup brush.

All Over Highlighters
In the second compartment, there are two cream highlighters. The first one is in gold (left), and the other one is in champagne pink (right). The color payoff of the gold one is not as good as the champagne pink one, all of the colors have really great color payoff except the gold one, which is really unfortunate because the color is so gorgeous. I like it best to highlight my nose bridge, so it will appear taller, but you can also use it as eyeshadow base if you want.

All Over Shimmers
The last compartment is my favorite! I really love this pair, because they're really easy to use since they're small in size and pen-shaped. The first one is white shimmer and the second one is nude shimmer, both of them have the best color payoff between all of the shades. I usually use it to highlight the inner corner of my eyes. They can be brought alone without the box, just put it in your makeup bag or clutch for touch ups!

SWATCHES:
From left to right:
First stack: bronze-peach All Over Enhancer, Second stack: gold All Over Highlighter, champagne pink All Over Highlighter, Third Stack: white All Over Shimmer, nude All Over Shimmer

If you're interested on buying this product, you can visit StrawberryNET and you can browse for thousands of beauty products there. This highlight & shimmer palette is perfect for day and night use, for every women at any age and profession. A great highlighter can sculpt your face, accentuate your favorite face features, bring up your complexion, slim your nose, and make your face looks flawless! Highlighting can make BIG impact on your face! And this palette is the perfect highlight & shimmer palette, you can use it on your cheek bones, brow bones, inner corner of eyes, nose bridge, cupid's bow, and you can also use it as eyeshadow and eyeshadow base.

Last year, I wanted to try a cleanse off oil, and I was torn between Laneige Deep Cleansing Oil Refresh or MAC Cleanse Off Oil (as posted here), but a friend of mine got me MAC Cleanse Off Oil when we were at SOGO Plasa Senayan. I've been using and loving this makeup remover ever since I got this.

MAC describe this as:
An industry-strength oil-based makeup remover that’s gentle on the skin. Botanically formulated with oils of olive fruit, evening primrose and jojoba seed and absolutely 100% mineral-oil free. Massages onto the skin to loosen all makeup, including waterproof mascara. Emulsifies into a lotion-type liquid with water: rinses off easily, no tissues required—and no residue! Protects with vitamin E. Skin softening and conditioning. Good for all skin types.

I used to spend a lot of my time to remove my makeup before I use this makeup remover. This baby can remove all of your makeup, even your waterproof makeup! I usually go with a pump or two for my whole face, massage it into my face then rinse off with lukewarm water. Or you can also pump it onto cotton pad to remove your eye makeup, whichever you prefer.

This is a product that can be used by everyone, for any skin types. If you have oily skin type, don't worry to use this remover, because it doesn't leave any oily residue at all and it doesn't feel too thick when you apply it too! Another good thing about this product is, when you use it to remove your eye makeup, it doesn't sting your eyes. (I have oily skin type and the product doesn't break me out)

I recommend this product for everyone, especially if you're still looking for a great make up remover. It has mild scent which is really refreshing. It comes with big bottle and a little product goes a long way, so it lasts for a very long time. (IDR 350,000 for 150ml)

Easy tricks to make eyes appear bigger that I always do every time. Only take me couple minutes to do this, and successfully make my slanted eyes look bigger. Follow these basic steps for bigger looking eyes.

Circle Lens
I'm short-sighted, but in special occasions, I prefer to use circle lens to glasses. Nowadays you can find circle lens in many sizes (I usually go for the ones in size 15mm), those lens can make your eyes look bigger in instance! However, if you have no problem with your eyes at all, and you never use circle lens before, I don't really recommend using soft lenses, this is just a substitute of glasses.
(I used Omega Berries 3 Tones)

Socket Lines
Apply dark brown eyeshadow (matte is preferred) on to your socket lines. Then, blend with blending brush, so there will be no hard edges, as you can see in the picture below...
(I used Naked in Naked Palette)

Waterline
Apply white eyeliner to your waterline. For more natural look, use nude eyeliner instead of white.
(I used NYX Jumbo Eyeliner in Milk)

Eyeliner (Upper Lash Line)
Apply bold line to your upper lash line, you can use liquid eyeliner or gel liner.
(I used Mei Linda Eyeliner    >>review<<     >>buy now<<)

Eyeliner (Bottom Lash Line)
With the same eyeliner, line your outer bottom lash line, then connect the line with upper lash line. Apply the rest of your bottom lash line with brown eyeliner for more natural look, then blend the colors together.
(I used Mei Linda Eyeliner    >>review<<     >>buy now<<)

Mascara & Highlight
Curl your lashes and apply lots of mascara or use fake lashes instead. Then, apply highlighter to your inner corner of your eyes, I normally use white, but you can also use other light colors.
(I used Lancome Hypnose Mascara)

Voila! These are my simple tricks to create bigger looking eyes.
Share me your beauty tricks! :)

As you can read from the title above, this post is going to show you, step-by-step tutorial how to achieve longer and volumized eyelashes without fake eyelashes. Truth to be told, I have short, sparse, thin, straight lashes, and I'm pretty sure most of Asians have the same problem with me. So how to get those longer and volumized eyelashes?

There are so many different types of mascara. And I believe girls have more than one type of mascara. Most people usually use the same type of mascara for their second or third coat, however I like to use two different types of mascara, I usually go for Dolly Wink Long Mascara that I really like, because it gives the most natural longer looking lashes, and Lancome Hypnose Doll Mascara which is extremely famous, and I love how it give so much volume to my lashes.

The brushes

HOW TO:

This is my original eyelashes. Le before. Thin, sparse, straight, short lashes.

Next step is to curl the lashes. On the picture above, you can notice my lashes are curled up. Get the perfect size or lashes curler for the best result, and change the cushion pads every three months (if you use the curler regularly).

Then I go with my Dolly Wink Long Mascara. You can tell that it works amazing! My lashes look longer instantly.

For the second coat, I use my Lancome Hypnose Doll Mascara, it gives more volume to my eyelashes.

Lastly, do the same to your bottom lashes, so it won't look top-heavy.

I usually end it with two coats of mascara in my daily basis, but if you want more dramatic look, you can apply for more coats. The secret behind this look is to use two different types of mascara, the one that can make your lashes look longer, then the other one that gives volume to your lashes. And don't forget to curl your eyelashes before that, I assure you it is really worth it!

If you live outside Thailand, you must not really familiar with this brand, Mei Linda. Because I didn't know about Mei Linda before Miss Lie Collection introduced me with this awesome liquid eyeliner: Mei Linda Perfect Storm Liquid Eyeliner. And I'm really glad that I got an opportunity to try this eyeliner, I've been falling in love with this product since I tried it the first time!

I actually wasn't a big fan of liquid eyeliner, I prefer to use gel liner, but we all know that liquid eyeliner is a lot more practical than gel liner, because we don't have to clean the brush, more compact and also travel friendly, that's why I use liquid eyeliner on my daily basis. So even I don't put makeup on, I will always have eyeliner on my eyes everyday, to make my eyes look bigger and rounder and stuffs... Eyeliner works like magic, so I think every girl should have one!

So as I told you before, the Mei Linda Perfect Storm Eyeliner is made in Thailand, hand carried by Miss Lie Collection, so the product and even the box is in very good condition. Miss Lie also sells other original beauty products in low price. I know there are lots of seller who also sell beauty products in low price but there are also lots of them who sell fake products, so if you're not sure where to buy beauty products, I can assure you that Miss Lie only sell original products, so make sure to check out the web!

I love everything about this eyeliner, the pointy tip so I can draw thin or bold lines, the color that is so frigging black so I don't have to shake it before use, the consistency that is not watery so the eyeliner dries in a blink, the tip that is not too flexible but not to stiff so it is really easy to use even for beginner, it also lasts all day long and even waterproof!

Don't get me wrong, I still love my Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner, but one Dolly Wink Eyeliner equals to two Mei Linda Perfect Storm Eyeliner (Dolly Wink costs about $20, Mei Linda costs only about $10), Mei Linda Perfect Storm Eyeliner is waterproof when Dolly Wink Eyeliner isn't, and I also find some people has problem with their Dolly Wink Eyeliner, it doesn't stay all day long, first it's because you have to shake the Dolly Wink Eyeliner first before use, second is its not waterproof so if you have oily lids the eyeliner will come off very quickly, and I don't find those problems with my Mei Linda Perfect Storm Liquid Eyeliner!
Order Now >>>

I can create thin lines, bold lines, dots, heart shape with the eyeliner! It's waterproof, so you won't be able to remove it with water, like what I can do with my Dolly Wink Eyeliner (seriously!), but it's really easy to remove with eye makeup remover.

Overall, I think this product is really worth trying if you haven't tried it out yet, for people who is still a beginner at makeup, or even professional, with only IDR 125,000 you can get high quality liquid eyeliner equivalent to Dolly Wink (worth more than IDR 200,000). You can say that this eyeliner is a good alternative for Dolly Wink, actually it works a lot better than Dolly Wink, so go ahead try it and you'll love it!
