Beauty Appetite by Jessica Simon

Here are some of my beauty resolution in the year 2012:
  1. Drink more water
  2. Gain some weight
  3. Use skincare and beauty items that suitable for my skin
  4. Mask my face and hair twice a week
  5. Always use sun protector minimum SPF 25
  6. Stop buying bags and invest for skincare
  7. Always remove all make ups every night before go to bed
  8. Try to use at least BB cream, powder, eyeliner, mascara and lip balm everyday (and concealer of course!)
Sometimes, I drink only about 3-5 glasses of water everyday. Thats really bad for my skin, it can cause premature aging, and I don't want that, so do you, so let's drink more water everyday!

To be honest, I'm a skinny type girl, I don't try to brag about it, I feel shame instead. At the moment, my weight is 55kg (not normal for a 173cm height girl), I need to gain 5-10 more kilos!

Skip some numbers, and lets move on to no. 6! I am a bag lover, not a bag freak though, but I have a pretty huge collection of bags, and I haven't wore half of them. So I should stop buying new bags and start investing on skincare instead.

There's some day when I'm really tired and forget to remove my makeup, and many pimples start to appear the next day. I should stop being forgetful, and start do the best for my skin.

ps. have a great new year parteh girls!

The most important thing of basic skin care is cleansing. Here I give you some facts about cleansing. I'm not saying that I'm right and you're wrong, but we always learn, don't we? :)

When I say basic, it means something that you do regularly, and also really easy to do. First thing before you try to buy a cleanser is you need to know what is your skin type, is it dry, oily, normal, combination or sensitive. You need to find a good cleanser that suits your skin.

You may find that some products don't suit your skin even though you use cleanser for your skin type. Well, actually that's normal, maybe your skin cannot respond well to some of the ingredients for that cleanser. So if you have found a good cleanser, try to stick to it, you don't have to try other brands, except you try to buy a better cleanser.

Don't ever use bar soaps, they're for body, not for your face, even your neck. Your face and neck skin area are more sensitive than your body. If you try to use bar soaps for your face, it will make your face dry.

If you're an oily skin type, use gel cleanser, and if you're dry skin type, use cream cleanser. And don't wash your face too often, two times a day is enough, in the morning and at night. Make sure you have removed all of your make up with proper make up remover before you clean your face.

And don't use cold or hot water to wash or rinse your face, using cold or hot water can cause broken capillaries. I like to use warm water first, use the cleanser then rinse my face with cool water.

There are many things you can do to cleanse your face, but this is the basic one.
Hope you enjoy your weekend ladies!

Hello ladies! Meet L'Oréal: Gentle make up remover for lips & eyes. It says it removes waterproof and long-lasting make up.

To tell you the truth is, I love using waterproof mascara and waterproof eyeliner. When you live in tropical country like Indonesia, you need waterproof makeups, its like summer all the time here. And I don't want my mascara and eyeliner ruin my day by smudging all over my eyes.

L’Oréal says that it is gentle, and I must say I agree, it is really gentle, I don't have to rub my eye area (I'm afraid of premature wrinkles). It's really easy to get rid of my eyeshadow and eyeliner and even waterproof mascara. What you need is small amount of this make up remover and cotton pad!
It doesn't make my skin dry, and it doesn't leave oily-greasy finish, me likey!

What L’Oréal says on the website:
Product benefits: Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover combines make-up removal with softness. Its refreshing and gentle formula is suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
Innovation: Enriched with Pro-Vitamin, this gentle Eye Make-Up Remover, gently, yet thoroughly, removes eye make-up. Its refreshing and gentle formula is suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

Oh, I forgot about the last one! I'm a contact lens user, and I have no problem using this product. This is one of my favorite make up remover!

Rating: 4/5
Price: I bought it for around IDR 60,000 (USD 6.50 in Indonesia)
Size: 125ml
Repurchase: Yes

Hi readers, I'm Jessie and I'm new to beauty blog world, but I'm willing to share to other people, and learn from everywhere as my sources, thats the reason why I decided to blog :)

Today, I review Tea Tree clearing facial wash from The Body Shop..

It says, "Suitable for Blemished Skin", yes I have blemished-oily-combination skin :( so I grabbed this bottle without second thought when I went to The Body Shop store.

And I immediately washed my face with this product after I bought it that day, it has minty effect when you wash your face. And the result is my face doesn't look shiny at all, but it only lasts for about 5-7 hours. I love to see my face looks matte even just for 5 hours.

The bottle is pretty big! I've used my facial wash from November and I still have more than half bottle! I always use my face every morning and night.

What I love the most:
This facial wash doesn't make my face feels itchy, breakout, too dry or whatsoever that other facial wash for oily skin usually does. And I love the tea smell too! It smells organic.

(Details from thebodyshop.co.id: A cleansing gel-based facial wash, suitable for everyday use to help clear and prevent blemishes, removing excess oil without overdrying the skin.)

Rating: 3/5Price: IDR 89,000 (USD 9.50)
Size: 250ml
Repurchase: Yep, but I want to try the foaming cleanser too!
