Beauty Appetite by Jessica Simon

This is the best combination of lip tint and lip gloss, so you'll get tinted lips with glossy look. It comes in two colors, enamel pink (which I have) and enamel red. The texture is like normal lipgloss, smells so so so so good like candy, but you will feel kind of sticky on your lips for some minutes after you apply the lip tint.

Look here, even the applicator looks like jelly! The applicator is not like usual lipgloss or lip tint, cute right? ;) The application also make it easier to use. The color is not so sheer but also not so bold, but it gives the perfect color on your lips. If you want go get bolder color, you can apply it for more, because the color is buildable.

(Left: without flash // Right: with flash)

The good news is, this tins/gloss doesn't dry up my lips, because my lips always dry if I apply lipgloss even though I already apply my lip balm before that. But you have to reapply every 3-4 hours because the gloss will dry up, but the pink/red tint will stay on your lips if you don't eat/drink. Even though lip tint (from other brands) makes your lips color look natural, somehow it looks boring. If you want lip tint but you also like glossy look on your lips I would say, go for this product!

Hi guys, meet one of my Holy Grail products: NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk. I've loved this eye pencil from the first time I got this baby, the color payoff is great, the texture is really soft and creamy, and works really well as a base, not to mention this product is really affordable!

I use this as base all the time, it makes eyeshadow colors more opaque and payoff. But even though the pencil's consistency is creamy, but it doesn't crease at all, the color stays on your lids! The texture is soft and really creamy, if you apply it on your lids it goes really well, really easy to apply and blend, you can use brush or just clean fingers to blend the color.

It also works as highlighter, to highlight under your brow bone and inner corner of your eyes. You can line your waterline with this pencil.

(swatches)

I only dislike one thing about this eye pencil, the packaging is made from plastic and it makes it hard to sharpen :(. Well, actually there are two kind of packaging, made from plastic and wood, but I hope NYX makes it all made from wood so it will be easier to sharpen.

(blends with fingers)

Other colors of jumbo eye pencil also work as eyeshadow, if you're looking for affordable cream eyeshadow with good quality, you should go for this product, because the colors really pigmented and payoff. Or if you have some eyeshadows that are not pigmented, go try using this pencil first on you lid before applying your eyeshadow. The pencil will brighten the color and make it very pigmented. You will not regret to buy this pencil ;)

My cleverest dog, Mochiko. My most spoiled dog, who sleeps in my parents bedroom, and who always get the AC turn on wherever he is, so he won't suffer from heat. This morning, he was poisoned by stranger, and I hope that person will stop soon, because he never know how valuable a dog for a family. Mochiko is not a common dog, he's our lovely family member, who always be remembered in our hearts.

MUCH MUCH MUCH LOVE,

JESSIE.

Silver eyeliner is not something new, but somehow people forget about silver eyeliner. In my opinion every girl should have silver eyeliner, the color really brightens up and opens up eyes. Today I'm going to show you how to apply silver eyeliner!

Left: Line your upper lash line with silver eyeliner, this look reminds me of Cinna from Hunger Games who wear gold eyeliner hehehehe.
Right: Apply silver eyeliner onto your lower lash line, it will brightens up your eyes. Or you can apply it both to your upper and lower lash line like what I do in the picture.

Left: First apply black eyeliner like you usually do, then apply your silver eyeliner above the black eyeliner. This look will make your eyes look bigger and pop.
Right: Apply your black eyeliner first, wait until it dries, then apply silver eyeliner on top of the black eyeliner. If you want the silver eyeliner more show off, apply white eyeliner (not black eyeliner) before applying silver eyeliner.

Review about the silver eyeliner I'm using is coming out soon! ;p

Bonjour!
This post is important, because related to skincare routine, which I do every day. I used to use The Body Shop: Tea Tree Facial wash (which I've reviewed couple months ago) and the reason I changed my facial wash because I wanted to use something that is milder than tea tree facial wash, cause my face skin didn't have severe acne prone. Even though the previous facial wash didn't break me up, after some bottle of usage, I used the seaweed facial wash instead.

What The Body Shop says:
A mild oil-free and soap-free foaming cleansing gel. Effectively deep cleanses to clear open pores and rinse away excess oils, make-up, impurities and daily grime.Leaves the skin feeling cleansed, purified and refreshed with a shine-free, matte finish.

FULL INGREDIENTS
Community Trade seaweed from Ireland - Our Community Trade Bladderwrack seaweed has a very high mineral content, skin protective antioxidants and nourishing vitamins to balance skin tone, purify and clarify the complexion.
Menthol - Menthol to cool and refresh - ideal for oily or irritated skin.

The tea tree facial wash is more suitable for people who has acne prone, and the seaweed facial wash is suitable for people who has oily skin. This has good oil control, and will work a lot better if you use other seaweed products. It does rinse away excess oil, but not make up, you have to clean your makeup first before cleaning your face. The facial wash doesn't break me out, and does a great job with the matte finish after using!

Totally recommended for you who has oily skin like me ;), and as you can see I have repurchased the facial wash because I almost run out of this product! The price is about $10 and will last for about 2 months, good deal.

Have a great weekend my beloved readers!

Today I'm going to show you how I usually do my 'No Makeup' makeup, which I found very practical because it doesn't take long time to do, its everyday wear, very simple and easy. And for the last thing is, its also good for your spouse or boyfriend, because they like you for who you are, not your makeup.. Most boys or men prefer girls or women without makeup. But I'm not saying you cannot wear your makeup though! Right makeup in the right place and at the right time is beyond perfect!

Do not use foundation, but bb cream instead because its more lightweight than foundation. And the good thing is bb cream has SPF in it, yay! I make some dots of bb cream on my big forehead, cheeks, nose and chin then use my foundation brush to set all in.

Apply concealer under your eyes, sides of your nose, and on your nose bridge. Cover your dark spots with concealer. This is why I love concealer, it always do magic ;p.

Define your eyebrows then tightline your eyes, if you want to line your eyes, use pencil liner instead of gel liner or liquid liner because pencil liner gives smooth and natural finish. Curl your lashes then apply mascara, if you want longer looking lashes, apply two coats of mascara. Set powder to your face then apply your most natural looking blush. Last but not least, apply lip tint, I prefer to use lip tint because it gives very natural finish, not glossy, not matte or else. If you have pigmented lips, lucky you, you may not need lip tints and go for chapstick, but my lips aren't pigmented so I need lip tints to cover them up.

FINISH LOOK! Look fresh and natural, right? ;)
This look is also good whenever I'm lack of sleep and look extremely tired or when I just recover after being sick :( so I'll look a lot healthier hehe.

What do you think about this look?

Nail art lovers must be familiar with pens like The Face Shop: Nail Dot Pen, it is made to make it easy to create dots, lines, or whatever you want on your nails. At first I thought it would be so much easier than using small brush to draw on your nails, but actually its not that easy.

To make some dots/lines you should press the pen so the ink will come out, that makes it hard, because you have to concentrate to draw on your nails and to press the pen at the same time. It comes in two colors, white and black. I think this pen is pretty pricey (about $10), not really worth it. I'm thinking on buying the nail pen from Konad, because it comes in 5 different colors and dual ended (pen and brush), and costs less than this one (about $5).

(Me trying to write 'Beauty' and make some dots and lines *fail* LOL)

The color is pay off, the consistency is like gel pen and takes a while to dry. I won't repurchase this nail dot pen again in the future.

Do you prefer using small brush or nail pen to draw on your nails?

Lippy product to review today guys!! My first Etude House product to review: Dear Darling Tint in color Orange. To be honest, actually I'm not really fond of Etude House, if I could choose three cosmetics brand from Korea which are sold in Indonesia, it would be The Skin Food, Tony Moly and The Face Shop, and I would never choose Etude House. I don't like sheer colors for make ups, and most products from Etude House are,.. sheer. But I thought of trying this one out and it turns out better than what I expected.

At the first glance, I thought the color is going to be really bold, because the consistency is not watery like Tony Moly: Tony Tint ones (I'll review this one too, promise!!), this is more like gel. But actually its not, the color is sheer but not really bad. Because I remember about the Tony Tint ones, I have to make some dots on my lips and spread the color with my finger because the color is extremely bold if I apply it with the applicator.

The sponge applicator is curvy to make it easier to apply it on your lips, all you have to do is just apply it all over your lips, even though the color is sheer, the color is really natural and buildable, so if you want bolder color you can apply it all over again after it dries for some seconds. And have I mentioned that it has really good smell, like fruity, orangey or something.

It has 3 shades, the red one, pink and orange one. The packaging is plastic, so I don't have to worry about it cracks up inside my bag, because I'm such a klutz!! Believe it or not but I always have bruises on my feet or my hands, from get hit by doors, tables, or fall on stairs.

(left: with flash // right: without flash)

I'm not saying that this lip tint is moisturizing my lips, but at least it doesn't dry my lips up, which is a good thing too, because if I don't use my chapsticks, my lips always dry up like raisins in the sun. The bad thing is that the longevity is not as good as the Tony Tints that would stay all day long, if you're not eating or drinking, you don't have to worry about the color fades away though.
Overall, I would say that this lip tint is not really bad, it really worth to try it, and I'm glad that I choose the orange one (no. 03) because the color is so natural and makes me look so fresh.

Here it is, swatch for Tony Moly Nail Enamel Milky Mint MK06. I bought it for Rp. 39.000 (USD 4.00) for 15ml nail polish! If you live in Jakarta, there are two Tony Moly stores available here, in Pondok Indah Mall and Taman Anggrek Mall, go get yours now! ;p

The color is pretty opaque, I did two coats for my nails to get the minty color that I want. Please excuse my messy nails, because I was going to erase them after took some photos. I'm back to college, so I cannot wear any nail polishes *sigh*

Hola guys, how have you been? Lately I'm not really busy with college stuffs, but I spent a lot of time hanging out with some friends because we haven't met for pretty long time. Spending time with friends is really nice, and hang out with old friends is awesome too! I think its one of the most important thing in life, to have good relationship with God, family and friends.

So today I'm going to review The Body Shop: Aloe Protective Restoring Mask that I have been using for some months, well  its my own rule that I should've used the product (especially skin care) at least for 3 months before review it, so I could see if the product does some changes to my skin.

What The Body Shop says:
BEST IF YOU WANT TO: Strengthen your skin’s natural barrier with an intensive, creamy leave-on mask that softens and instantly cools.
BEST FOR: sensitive skin
How it works: Use once a week to provide a soothing blanket of protection to sensitive skin.
  • Community Trade sesame oil helps to soften skin and create a protective shield that prevents water loss and restores suppleness.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Aloe Barbadensis Gel, Octyl Palmitate, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Isononyl Isononanoate, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Stearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Lanolin, Polyglyceryl-3 Beeswax, Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide, Tocopheryl Acetate, Levulinic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Hydroxide, p-Anisic Acid, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour, Water

  • INSTRUCTION:
  • Apply to the skin after cleansing and toning. Leave on for up to 20 minutes, then gently massage into the skin. Remove any excess with a tissue - rinsing required.

(The jar is still 90% full because I took this photo couple months ago)

This mask is suitable for sensitive skin, I don't have a sensitive skin, but its not a sin to try this mask, even though the result will be better for people who has dry skin that people who has oily skin like me. Just apply it onto your clean face for about 10-30 minutes and clean it with lukewarm water. Some people says that The Body Shop products are expensive, but I think its not, because if you do this regimen once a week, one jar of mask will last for more than half a year, The Body Shop products always come in big size which is good, even you spend some money for the products, but every jar or bottle will last at least for 4-6 months, so it makes sense that I said The Body Shop is really affordable.

After I apply it to my face and rinse my face off, I feel my skin a lot softer. The texture is creamy and smells organic and very soothing, the smell will go away after you rinse your face. It will sink to your skin really fast.

After using this mask for some months, I don't see or feel any effect, maybe its because I don't have sensitive or dry skin? But I really like the feeling after I used the mask, I feel my skin a lot softer, chewy and moisturize my face too! :) For you who has dry skin or sensitive skin, you might want to try this mask! Not recommended for oily skin type though.

Helping the earth to be a better place is a great thing! Save water, electricity and all kind of energy. Start using public transportation instead of driving alone, or would you prefer bike to work? ;) And always use paper bag instead of plastic bag when go shopping. They're small things that make a huge difference! This eye make up is inspired by Go Green activity..

We're going to use 3 different colors of green, to simplify it, I will call them no 1, 2 and 3.
a. Always start bare eyes
b. I'm using NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk as a base, so the color will pop out well
c. Blend with your finger

d. Start applying color no 1 to your crease
e. Now apply color no 2 underneath your crease, and white eyeshadow under your brow bone for highlight

f. Color no 3 which is the darkest color of all will be used to line your upper lash line
g. Apply color no 1 to your inner lid and line your inner lower lash line
h. Apply color no 2 next to the color no 1

i. The color no 3 is used to line you outer lower lash line
j. Blend blend blend!
k. Apply your eyeliner
l. Apply pencil liner to your lower lash line

m. Apply mascara, and we're done!

Let's show the world that we care and we're excited to start change for a better world and better future!!

Second haul in August?! And today is still the third day of August.. I should have made a collective haul post, but I want to organize it by brand. Because I usually do haul per brand day by day. I initially just wanted to go eat with some friends today, and got excited to see Tony Moly counter (there are only two Tony Moly counters in Jakarta, as far as I remember) and here are the things I bought:

(Profesional Powder Brush)

(Nail polishes: MK06 Milky Mint & MK09 Milky Sky)

(Tony Moly Backstage eyeliner gel)

(Tony Tint: Red Apple)

What do you think about my new nail art? ;) They're made by Konad stamping nail art! Turns out better than I thought! They are super easy to apply ;p

I haven't posted about beauty haul for some months, actually I did some beauty haul but I don't feel like posting them, so I'm thinking of posting another different kind of updates: a nail art haul. If you guys are interested about nail art, you must have heard about Konad Stamping Nail Art, a brand from Korea specialize in Stamping. Again, its really good for me, I don't have to draw, just stamp! So these are things that I bought today:

 (Sponge nail art set)

(Nail buffer-which has 4 sides)

(Double side stamp set: Stamp and scraper)

(Image plate no. m78)

(Orange and sky blue Konad special nail polishes)

I only bought 2 another special nail polishes because I already got 3 nail polishes from the Sponge nail art set. Special nail polish from Konad is used for stamping, because you cannot stamp by using nail polish from another brand, well some will work but some won't, you cannot use nail polishes from Etude, Face Shop, but if you use OPI it works, but I recommend just to use the Konad ones, it will work best because the texture is more condensed and it dries very fast, also cheaper than OPI.

Actually I've ever tried my friends ones, but I just got back home, took some pictures and didn't have a chance to try mine yet :p. But I'll explain how to use the stamp in another post soon! Have a great day my babies :)

DON'T FORGET TO JOIN MY FIRST GIVEAWAY HERE :)

Have you ever tried stamping nail art before?
